Mark and Lorraine
Winter Wedding, The Great Tythe Barn, Tetbury
My first wedding of 2019 was a fabulous start to my season.
Mark and Lorraine chose The Great Tythe Barn as their wedding venue, which is nestled in the Cotswolds and within walking distance of the historic market town of Tetbury. The stunning Grade II listed, C16th century Cotswold stone barn is the focal point of the Estate which is surrounded by former farm buildings. The perfect wedding venue!
Lorraine and her bridal party enjoyed her wedding eve in The Bullpen cottage onsite. On arrival, all was calm and busy. With a cuppa offered as soon as I walked in the door, I knew I was going to have a great day! I noticed a large bunch of red roses, and on enquiring, was also shown a pair of stunning diamond earrings; all wedding gifts from the Groom. Well done Mark.
After seeing the registrar, the bride had a super quick walk in the blustery cold wind into the barn itself. The barn looked soooo pretty inside, with the warm glow of twinkly lights and huge LOVE sign on the balcony. A sheer delight to see.
Lorraine looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown. Elegant and beautiful on the arm of her son. Mark looking and waiting and smiling, smiling, smiling! Lucky man.
Mark proposed at the top of The Empire State Building. So the cake was an amazing replica with all the details. Wow wow wow! Cutting it seemed such a shame…it really was a work of art.
The happy couple chose The Style Council ‘You’re the Best Thing’ for their first dance. And with guests admiring them from the balcony and dance floor, what a great start to their evening PARTY!
