A Summer Wedding at Brimpsfield Park

Archie and Izzy

Brimpsfield Park, Summer Wedding

This Brimpsfield Park, Summer Wedding was glorious!

When I first drove along the tree lined drive to Brimpsfield Park and saw the current farmhouse, I was simply in awe. Built in the 16th century, it sits in the middle of the estate with spectacular views. Steeped in history; Henry Vlll is known to have given Brimpsfield to all six of his wives as a wedding present!

On the day, I had an early morning meet up with Archie and his groomsmen to capture their partridge shoot. With some birds in the bag and a lot of misses, the sloe gin at half time went down rather well!

Archie and Izzy had a dream wedding day with beautiful sunshine, an intimate village church and then a fabulous party at home on the marqueed lawn.

Their adored labrador and lurcher were featured on the Order of Service, beautifully drawn, and played a big part in their celebrations. They were never very far from the bride and groom!

Church full to the brim of country flowers. And full to the brim of guests. With the sounds of bells ringing and plenty of singing the service was a delight.

It was lovely to see summer dresses and waistcoats galore whilst drinks and canapés on the lawn went down a storm.

With warm evening temperatures (for once!) the partying carried on and on…
